We believe in the power of stories. Stories were how we passed-on knowledge in the beginning. From stories around a bonfire in a cave, to the dramatic theater, to virtual reality experiences, big stories have modeled our culture. The stories took us to faraway places which we could not reach on our own, introduced us to people we could not have met, and brought us to new situations, embarrassing or frightening, in which we wouldn’t want to find ourselves – everything at a comfortable distance. There are fun stories, and there are challenging stories, and some are totally painful. Nevertheless, a big story always keeps us thinking for days. It changes us – if at all so little – as a new experience marked in our memory to join our experiences as part of the growing understanding of the world, which makes us all who we are.
